Our centres

To implement its projects and carry out its research, Epicentre relies on two centres located in Uganda, in Mbarara, and in Niger, in Maradi and Niamey. With several decades of experience, these centres have become fully-fledged medical and scientific platforms capable of designing and conducting their own research on behalf of MSF, whilst enjoying growing recognition at national and regional levels. Both centres also have research laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and run by highly qualified teams. They provide the infrastructure needed to develop and evaluate new diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.

These centers are part of a broader network that includes a team based in Paris as well as epidemiologists deployed to MSF operations and offices in several countries.
