Biography

Dr. Cheick Oumar Doumbia is a medical epidemiologist and operational research referent at MSF WaCA. He has led and supported studies and outbreak responses across Africa, focusing on malaria, NTDs, and emerging infectious diseases such as Ebola, COVID-19, and Mpox. He previously worked at BNITM in Germany and UCRC/USTTB in Mali, contributing to clinical and operational research on global and tropical disease dynamics. He holds an MD from USTTB and an MPH from the University of Ghana, supported by the WHO/TDR Implementation Research Programme. Dr. Doumbia currently develops and oversees operational research across multiple MSF missions to inform humanitarian health responses.
