Biography

Fara is an accomplished public health professional and medical epidemiologist from the Republic of Guinea, with a particular interest in children’s health and diseases with epidemic potential. Fara earned his medical degree in the Republic of Guinea and holds three master’s degrees: in public health, society, and development from the University of Marseille; in clinical epidemiology from the University of Toulouse; and in health sciences statistics from the University of Montpellier, all in France. Fara is currently a doctoral student at the Institute of Global Health at the University of Geneva.
With over ten years of experience in this field, he currently serves as a senior epidemiologist and head of epidemiological projects at the international organization Doctors Without Borders, based in Dakar, Senegal, and affiliated with Epicentre Paris.
