Sophie Meakin is an epidemiologist with a background in statistical and mathematical modelling of infectious diseases. She joined Epicentre in 2023 and works on several research projects to evaluate the impact of different interventions on infectious disease outbreaks, particularly Ebola virus disease and cholera.
Before joining Epicentre, Sophie worked as a researcher at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine evaluating operational forecasts of COVID-19 hospital admissions.
