This webinar, co-organised by MSF's HIV/AIDS Working Group and Epicentre, is an opportunity to look again at approaches to care for people living with HIV and what we need to learn from them. Such approaches facilitate access to care, by involving people in their own care decisions, and as a result improve patient experience, quality of care and outcomes. The challenge now is to bring them into widespread use. Discover 3 examples of person-centred care:
- Evaluation of differentiated service delivery models in Goma, DRC and Kasese, Uganda | Jihane Ben-Farhat, Epidemiologist at Epicentre
- Integration into chronic disease care in Malakal, South Sudan | Paula Cuenca Ruiz, HIV/TB/Hepatitis B&C Referent MSF-OCBa
- Integration into humanitarian settings: Lessons learned from Cabo Delgado, Mozambique | Carolina Aluda & Edwin Moshi
and discuss their implementation, identify the obstacles to their development, how are these approaches perceived by people living with HIV? How can HIV care be decompartmentalized?
With
- Mariana Garcia, Patient and Community Support Advisor, MSF South African Medical Unit,
- Patricia Asero Ochieng, President of the International Community of Women Living with HIV Kenya
- Bienvenu Gazalima, Executive Director of the Central African Network of People Living with HIV and AIDS (RECAPEV).
This webinar will be translated live into English, French and Portuguese.
