Cecilia Akatukwasa

Dr. Cecilia Akatukwasa is a public health specialist and social and behavioral scientist with over 12 years of experience conducting qualitative and mixed-methods health research in Uganda. At Epicentre–Médecins Sans Frontières (Epicentre-MSF), Cecilia serves as a Senior Research Assistant, supporting evaluations of the 2022 pediatric TB diagnostic algorithms, shorter TB treatment regimens for children with TB, and the co-creation of referral pathways in pediatric oncology. Her broader research portfolio includes work on HIV care engagement, Tuberculosis, adolescent sexual and reproductive health, women’s health, and PMTCT service strengthening.
