Biography
Jasper Wagan is an Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Advisor with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) France and a registered nurse who started his career focusing on wound care before transitioning into IPC work in hospitals in the United Arab Emirates. He joined MSF in late 2021 as an IPC Mobile Implementation Officer (MIO), supporting IPC programme implementation, including communicable disease outbreak preparedness, across missions in Iraq, Yemen, Palestine, Afghanistan, and Chad. Since late 2023, he has shifted as OCP IPC Advisor, supporting predominantly anglophone missions across MSF France, with healthcare-associated infection (HAI) surveillance, reprocessing of reusable medical devices, and digitalisation of monitoring tools as part of his advisory portfolio, while also co-leading the Intersectional IPC Platform.
