Sexual and gender based violence support study in Kenya
Sexual and gender based violence support study
Epicentre in collaboration with the Kenya Ministry of Health (MoH) and Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) has launched a study to evaluate the feasibility and acceptability and uptake of services from active screening for SGBV in MSF supported facilities.
The study in a nutshell
Epicentre is supporting the Kenya MoH and MSF in their aim to improve the uptake of support services to survivors of sexual and gender based violence (SGBV) through active screening of clients in two MSF supported MoH facilities in the urban setting of Eastlands, Nairobi. The study participants will be recruited among survivors of SGBV that present for health services and who have been screened positive using the active screening tool. This mixed methods study is expected to last 7 months and is aimed at assessing the feasibility, acceptability and uptake of services from active screening for SGBV.
