Cholera: a 360° approach to containing epidemics

Since the end of December 2022, a MSF team has been working in the Minova health zone in South Kivu, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where a cholera epidemic has been declared by deploying the CATI approach. This approach is composed of a basket of actions, which, depending on the local context and operational considerations, are combined, or limited to some, implemented in parallel or successively. Epicentre assesses the impact of different CATI interventions on the spread of an epidemic.
Report in the health area of Kiniezire, located halfway between Bukavu and Goma, where most cases have been recorded.
