Adapting care to the lifestyles of people living with HIV is now part of the challenge to help control the HIV epidemic worldwide. In two studies, one on a moving population in Uganda and the other in an urban site in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Epicentre shows the good acceptability of HIV Differentiated Services Delivery Models.

Due to the extremely high mortality in Ituri, Democratic Republic of Congo, caused in particular by malaria, MSF has deployed mass drug administrations of antimalarials. Lise Grout, epidemiologist at Epicentre, is assessing the impact of these campaigns, for which questions remain as to the duration of the effect on mortality and morbidity of the population in a hyper-endemic context like Ituri. To deepen this investigation, she was led to complete the epidemiological arsenal with a new tool: verbal autopsy. She details her study and the contribution of the verbal autopsy.
